buy. I have been wanting to find a convertible fix up and twinturbo for a while now. I found it on Craigslist/Dallas two weeks ago being sold as a repo at a cash for titles loans office. They knew very little about Z cars and cars in general and were closed on weekends which made it hard to get time off work at check it out. Well last weekend iI was in Dallas for pleasure and on the way back I stopped by the office and check it out. I walk around it, look under it, checked on body lines for body damage, look under it and just around it. It was a nice and straight vert. I pull the door handle and its UNLOCKED!!! I pop the hood, everythings good and fine, belts a little crappy looking, but other than that very clean under the hood. Peaking around I found Stillen swaybars, stillen headers, short shifter, tokico inlluminas, front upper adjustable contol arms, and obviously the Nismo gt2 wheels. Also Stillen lip and a real OEM TT spoiler neither of those I really care for on a convertible though... I scheduled to take off a day of work so I could come up and actually test drive the car and feel it out to decide if I seriously wanted it. I found the A/c didnt cool and there was not a bit of charge in it when I pressed the valve in. No biggy i'm a mechanic, but definitly drop the value of the car in my eyes. Went in the office and haggled them down to 5000$. After purchasing it they admitted they had a hard time selling it and had it since december. Drove off the lot and got back to Houston around 11:30. Oh and the radio and CD didnt work, so it was a boring ride home, had to pop ear phones in the PSP. needs some TLC: belts, a/c work, some missing parts, 120k service, radio doesn't work, MSP manis , JWT 500s and intercoolers missing, turbo timer, jspec front and rears, lowering springs indash dvd... i can go on and on... glad i hoarded all those sweet parts for years
